The Beast Next Door

One of the earlier recent additions to Long Island City’s growing list of places to hang out and drink, The Beast Next Door sports open doors in the summer, a wooden interior with eclectic painted designs on the wall, and a small-but-good selection of meats and cheeses that make spending an evening here relaxing and delicious.

The Beast also hosts talent on its small stage in the back, but the acoustics aren’t great so it’s better served for comedy than music.

Definitely order the charcuterie when you visit. The board has good portions of meats and cheeses, and the sliced baguette is perfectly toasted with olive oil for a delicious crunch.

The happy hour deals are solid and the staff is friendly and welcoming, so stop by here next time you are looking for a place to spend an afternoon or evening.
